First and foremost I must say I actually had a really great day with my precious gals. We met up with our friends at Blue Bell Creameries for a tour of how ice cream is made and an ice cream treat.
I think we all agreed that the actual tour is a little on the boring side for our tots, but they had fun with each other, nonetheless. Of course, the ice cream at the end was their favorite part.

{Ramsey and Kayden}
I had to wake Brady up from her morning nap so we could make it there on time (they make you schedule your tour). She looks dead tired….and this is where the battle of the sleepless girls begins…
They did look awfully cute…
Ramsey wore her Library medal {necklace} that she earned for “reading” 20 books this summer.
So as I was saying….the battle of the sleepless gals…anytime I wake Brady up from a nap, which is rare, she has a hard time sleeping the rest of the day. She has literally been down about 5 times today for 20-30 minute cat naps. She usually sleeps at least 4-6 hours during the day. Eesh.
My big girl had a fun filled morning with the ice cream tour, a stop at a splash pad, and play time at her friend’s Kayden’s house. She was tired. Yet, she fought the good fight singing, dancing, talking, and doing full-on gymnastics across her bed for nearly 2 hours before finally passing out. Double eesh.
I felt like I was running a marathon putting one girl down, shushing another, patting one, rocking the other, from room to room…..get the picture? These days are few and far between---thank the heavens! And frankly, if Ramsey wouldn’t have had red eyes and been yawning her head off I would’ve thrown in the towel and foregone the nap. {forego the Fantasy Sweet…Bachelorette much? ha!}
Since this is our “family journal/scrapbook” I want to remember MOSTLY the GOOD, but a little of the bad and ugly. And today was definitely a mixture of all three. ha! I will say my big girl woke up after a 2 hour nap full of pure sweetness and my sleep deprived, red eyed baby is happy as a clam. And as I write this, the day just doesn’t seem like that big of a deal. Funny how that works.
*Rams is “helping” her dad mow while Brady sits on my lap as I type….*
I’d say we’re multitaskers ‘round here and love these girls to no end….even sleepless.
